My first post from AIPD. I didn't get enough sleep this morning (went to bed around 12:30) and so I carpooled instead of driving to Gateway. I'm stuck here until 5:00, and I'll be walking across the Hawthorne Bridge in the rain with Uncle Larry. Adventure time!

Anyway, this is my Color Theory final, turned in earlier today. The final itself was creating a book cover from the original artwork (which itself was to be based on the style of a well-known artist). Aunt Pam took me to FedEx / Kinko's last night to get it scanned and saved on a CD; the scan turned out very well! Over 4,000 x 3,000 pixels - in three different formats - is a great deal. Makes me want to take older large works in and get them put on CDs!

I am very pleased with how this turned out. For its size, it was completed in record time. I have learned to love the slow but rewarding method of layering color after color after color, lights first, followed by darks: it yields very smooth, velvety hues!

It is also my first Prismacolor piece in which I did not incorporate ballpoint pen or markers (save for the eye socket and inner part of the mouth, which I wanted very black). The pomegranate sections were fun and rather challenging.

I'll get my drafts and detail shots up soon. :)

This is amazing @_@ It still baffles me how you can be so creative with your works. I'd never be able to do something so dynamic and unique >.< Good work <3

A very refreshing piece you've made here. I like how the cat and horse are supporting each other yet hold each other back via the stilts. Lots of effort is evident in this one.

It's not that I don't like society, It's that I've been forced to live out side of it due to the over whelming force of: conservatives, conformists, liberals, republicans, democrats, enviromentalists, terrorists, right wingers, religous zealots, media...

Fantastic detail that is pleasing to the eye and fun to find. Very nice with how it is related to Dali, one of my favorite artists.

Wow.. just.. wow. o.O
Your artwork never gets boring. Your such a creative person, and the time spent on this is apparent. I LOVE the coloring, the vibrant wing and cat, and seeds, and even though things are bright, its easy on the eyes and makes you wander around, instead of focusing on one point. Love the cat's head, and the horses, and those legs. Like I said. Wow. I could go on and on about this for forever.
